Due to the escalating cost of everything involved with providing reliable service we have started billing insurance companies for transports. We are using a "soft bill" approach, meaning that what your insurance does not pay you are not responable for, you will still get a bill per law we are required to send 3 and then let it go. Every year we are alloted $6000 in Dickenson County and $7000 in Wise County we also receive around $2300 to $2600 from the States 4 for Life what you pay to tag a car in each area. One can well see it is far from enough to fund our needs. We have made our first real purchase from our billing out of nessesity we are now the proud owners of a SUV. In order to continue to grow and train members we we are having to send farther away to get needed classes. The units we have were incappleable of being used as member transports to class and a personal vehicle wasn't always the best or most practical to send...take a look in the trucks link .. Our Protocol Manual is now online and can be found in the "Links" section of the website. We now have a new Operational Medical Director. Dr. Rexarode has agreed to oversee our operations at the medical level. We would like to thank Dr. Rexarode for agreeing to be the new OMD and would like to welcome him as a part of our team. | ||||||||||||||
